Mr. Farrell has been teaching at St. Michael since 2015. However, his career at St. Michael began long before this. He first started his education as a Kindergarten student. After leaving St. Michael and finishing high school, Farrell continued on to attend Marian University. There he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and with a concentration in Mathematics. His clinical internship assignment (student teaching) was also at St. Michael. He taught in second grade and in fourth. After graduating from Marian, Farrell began his employment at St. Michael as the second grade teacher. His second and third year assignments were then middle school mathematics and 5th grade religion.

Mr. Farrell is also a member of the parish and has attended St. Michael since he was a child. He is actively involved in the music ministry and other liturgical ministries throughout the year.

“I am delighted to be able to share my experiences and faith with the students and staff of St. Michael. Ever since I was a small child, St. Michael has been my home. When I had the chance to come back for my student teaching, I was thrilled and jumped at the opportunity. Then to be offered a teaching position was even more exciting. I have loved every year here and the different assignments that I have been able to do. One of my favorite parts about this community is being able to bring our youth up in the faith and help fashion the next generation of disciples of Christ. As much as I hope to teach the students, they in return teach me a great deal and support me on my faith journey. My wife, Sarah, and I reside in Greenfield and have made St. Michael our home. I am excited to see what the future holds here and look to do great work along the way!”
